An exciting opportunity has become available within our growing Digital team for a Frontend Developer. Reporting to a Technology Lead, you will work as part of a dynamic cross-functional team. You will assist with analysing complex business requirements, designing and delivering secure, operationally stable front-end web applications applying innovation and automation where applicable.

Our Digital team is working on some very interesting projects including a new customer self-service portal, integration with a brand new billing solution, tools to enhance productivity of our back-end staff and uplifting our website experience using human-centered design practices.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing the latest user-facing features using React.js
  • Designing high quality, modern highly responsive web-based user interfaces
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Participate in refinement workshops with team members and business stakeholders, estimation sessions, technical design sessions and architecture walkthroughs

To be successful you will have:

  • 3+ years of experience developing customer facing solutions using React 16.10.0 + SPA, React.js, Typescript, ES6/ESNEXT
  • Extensive experience working with UI Component Libraries and Styled Components
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTML5 / CSS, modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Experience with Unit testing and Integration testing
  • Integration experience with Sitecore or other CMS systems in a semi-headless manner
  • Practical understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Azure Dev Ops experience will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of writing and maintaining documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of training and experience is highly desirable
