About the role:

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join our Enterprise Technology team on a 12-month max term contract.  Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, this role will manage the delivery of small to mid-sized IT infrastructure-related projects of varying complexity that support Alinta’s Technology services.

Duties:  

  • Delivering a project to time, budget, and quality parameters set down by the project sponsor and/or governing bodies. 
  • Closing a project successfully, with complete financials known and applied to the financial system, closure reports (including lessons learnt), post-production support executed.
  • Scoping and planning all facets of project delivery including target timelines, quality, and budget constraints/parameters to deliver expected project outcomes.
  • Ensure that all key stakeholders (especially the project sponsors, project governing bodies, EPMO and GM Enterprise Technology) are sufficiently informed of project status and progress
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, internal customers, team members, and external vendors

 Skills and experience: 

  • Demonstrable experience in reporting and governance in the support of delivering initiatives on time, on budget and on cost of small to medium sized ICT related projects
  • Strong relationship building skills, business acumen, a strong customer focus, analytical intelligence and innovative thinking
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Use of tools to support project delivery in Alinta ie. Office365 and Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
  • Energy utility experience is desirable
