About the role
Join our Spot Trading team in Sydney as an Energy Spot Trader. You will manage and optimise power and gas positions, implement trading and commercial strategies, and assess market risks to achieve portfolio and corporate objectives in the short-term and spot markets, working a 7-day, 24-hour roster. We provide comprehensive in-house training and support to help you succeed to become independent in the electricity spot market or physical gas markets trading desks. After completing your training, you'll be assigned to gas or electricity shifts on a balanced 24-hour, 7-day roster. We prioritise work-life balance, avoiding long periods of shift work, and offer the flexibility to work from home during night and weekend shifts. Additionally, our traders engage in exciting projects during standard work hour project days, providing unique opportunities to make an impact while we are in the middle of the energy industry transition.
