Alinta Energy is one of Australia’s biggest energy retailers, generators and developers with over 1.1 million customers. Australia’s energy system is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history and we’re right there with it. We’re investing in and developing large-scale renewables and storage projects as part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.

We understand that flexibility matters when considering your next role. Let us know your requirements, and we’ll carefully consider how we might accommodate them.

Ready to make a real impact?

Join Alinta Energy as a Project Coordinator based in Perth, Melbourne, or Sydney. In this role, you will manage project schedules and support budgeting, resourcing, and documentation for major energy projects. Working closely with Project Managers, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in line with Alinta’s Project Management Framework (PMF). You’ll coordinate internal meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action items. You’ll also maintain project documentation, champion continuous improvement by updating PMF templates, and collaborate with Finance on budgets and forecasts. This is an opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders, contribute to process enhancements, and be part of a supportive team focused on delivering successful project outcomes.

Why you’ll love working here

At Alinta Energy, we’re taking real action to deliver reliable and sustainable energy for Australia — and that practical approach runs through everything we do. You’ll get clear direction, genuine flexibility, and the support you need to grow, all while working on projects that make a lasting difference. We’re big enough to create impact, but small enough that your ideas and effort will always be seen.

There are plenty of other great benefits of working for Alinta Energy, including flexible working, energy discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a paid volunteer day each year, fully stocked kitchens, and lots more.

What you'll do

  • Manage project schedules for various energy initiatives, ensuring timelines are maintained and adjusted as needed.
  • Support budgeting and resourcing activities across multiple projects.
  • Facilitate and coordinate internal committee meetings, including agenda preparation and detailed minute-taking.
  • Update PMF templates and maintain project documentation on SharePoint, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Track project progress and manage gate milestones to align with governance requirements.
  • Facilitate risk workshops, tracking and monitoring key risks across the lifecycle of a project.

Your experience

  • A tertiary qualification in project management or a relevant discipline.
  • 3+ years of project coordination experience within energy or construction industries.
  • Proficiency in MS Project for effective schedule management and tracking.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and adaptable to change, with a focus on attention to detail.

Please note this role requires full working rights within Australia.
