This includes working to deliver 1,500MW of large-scale renewable energy by 2025 as well as delivering innovative and lower-emissions energy solutions for major industrial customers.

We are looking for a senior technical architect to guide our evolution into cloud native (CNCF) applications and who is not afraid to ‘get on the tools’ when necessary. Alinta is a cloud first organisation with a footprint in both AWS and Azure and significant development taking place in both. Our AWS tech stack targets a containerised Java backend, utilising EKS for run time orchestration, with an Angular SPA frontend, whilst our Azure tech stack targets a containerised .NET Core backend, utilising AKS for run time orchestration, with a React SPA frontend. We are currently designing and building our second generation DevSecOps environment, targeting enhanced segregation of duties between developers and DevSecOps engineers, enhanced security and an objective to better support continuous delivery. Responsibilities will include:

• Primary responsibility for architecture of Retail Energy solutions
• Support development teams transitioning to new target architecture
• Develop and maintain architectural pattern library
• Encourage and support adoption of new technologies were appropriate
• Foster a ‘security first’ mindset within all development teams
• Support Retail business teams in selecting purchased products and technologies
• Working closely and collaboratively with all members of the architecture team

To be successful you will have:

• Strong technical skills in both AWS and Azure
• Strong technical skills in architecting and developing cloud native (CNCF) solutions
• Strong technical skills in Java, .NET Core, Docker, Kubernetes Angular and React
• Strong focus on security and privacy
• Excellent understanding of modern architectural patterns
• Excellent communication skills for both developer and business communities
• Good experience with Agile delivery
• Demonstrable success in driving change
