About the role
Join Alinta Energy as a Financial Analyst, Performance Reporting and play a pivotal role in shaping how our Merchant Energy business understands and responds to business performance. Reporting to the Head of Finance, TPM, you’ll deliver timely, insightful reporting that supports effective decision-making and drives continuous improvement.

What you’ll do
- Compile and consolidate month-end reporting packs, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and brand alignment
- Engage with stakeholders to gather inputs and provide insights for reporting and forecasting
- Own and maintain presentation materials, with the potential to present to senior stakeholders
- Manage all overheads reporting for Merchant Energy (TPM East, West & G&D), including variance analysis
- Lead the overhead forecasting process, ensuring major Opex items are captured
- Provide clear commentary on month-end variances and identify key movements and drivers
Your experience
- Experience in a Financial Analyst or similar role
- Strong understanding of profit and loss statements and financial fundamentals
- Demonstrated experience in analytical tasks or roles involving data analysis
- Proficiency in Excel is essential; experience with Power BI and/or SQL is desirable
- Advanced PowerPoint skills for reporting and presenting insights
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Background in accounting is preferred, though not essential
