About the role
Our dynamic team is at the forefront of the energy sector, constantly innovating and adapting to meet the evolving needs of the market. As a Senior Financial Accountant within our Retail business, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to this exciting journey by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, providing detailed analytical reviews, trends and insights that drive decision-making, and working closely with stakeholders across the business, including senior management.

What you’ll do
- Prepare and review monthly gross margin and opex models, ensuring accurate ledger recognition, as part of completing the month end process
- Deliver profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting for management meetings and CFO reviews
- Dive deep into financial drivers and key trends, analysing results against budget and forecast, in conjunction with Business Partnering, and providing insightful commentary and a detailed understanding to support business decision-making
- Prepare monthly cashflow forecast, and reporting on results with a focus on key drivers and cash conversion rates
- Lead the external audit process for Retail, acting as the primary contact and preparing audit papers
- Monthly BAS and balance sheet reconciliation for assigned entities
- Collaborate with Group Finance, Tax & Treasury, and Retail business functions, as required
Your experience
- CPA, CA or CIMA qualified, complimenting your experience in financial, management or statutory reporting within a complex business environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and accounting standards
- Advanced Excel skills are essential, any experience in Business Intelligence tools is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to manage productive relationships across multiple functions
- High attention to detail is essential
