It’s a genuinely exciting time for us, and it means we can offer opportunities to do work that makes everyone’s future better.
Your part in it
The Senior Environmental Advisor will play a key role in advancing our offshore wind projects. This position will contribute to and coordinate various aspects of environmental, tenure, and statutory approval processes for our offshore wind developments. The successful candidate will be able to identify gaps/conflicts between technical and contractual positions and the requirements of legislation, negotiated agreements and the views held by key stakeholders.

There are plenty of great perks, from flexible working to a long list of exclusive Alinta benefits.
What you’ll put into it
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the statutory approvals workstream for the Spinifex Offshore Wind Farm Project.
- Participate in engagements with Traditional Owner groups to address Native Title and Cultural Heritage matters in the context of development projects.
- Assist in negotiations with landowners, customers (including utilities), state government departments, and other stakeholders to secure access and tenure rights essential for project support.
- Contribute to discussions with State and Federal departments as required for the preparation, assessment and grant of approvals, permits and licenses.
- Coordinate baseline assessments with consultants, review their reports, and provide guidance on best environmental management practices.
What you’ll bring to it
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (for example Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction, Sustainability)
- Experience working on Environmental Impact Assessments in the Commonwealth and Victorian jurisdictions.
- Proven record of implementing and managing large scale environmental baseline studies.
