About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Grid Connections to spearhead the development and integration of power generation projects into the grid. Based in either Melbourne or Sydney, this key leadership position requires deep expertise in grid connection processes, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management, ensuring our initiatives align with business objectives and deliver significant value to our customers and the community.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and execution of grid connection strategies for power generation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the grid connection process, managing stakeholder relationships and securing necessary agreements with AEMO and network operators.
  • Analyse grid constraints and provide technical solutions to optimize project feasibility and efficiency.
  • Ensure projects meet regulatory, governance, and community requirements while implementing preventative strategies.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate project success

Your experience

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power systems, renewable energy, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in managing grid connection projects with a strong understanding of electricity markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of grid codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and engage with high-level external stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills, with strong business acumen and interpersonal abilities.
