About the role

Join Alinta Energy as a Project Coordinator supporting the Merchant Energy business unit, based in either Perth, Melbourne or Sydney. You will support effective and efficient project outcomes, working closely with Project Managers to ensure the successful delivery of energy projects, including gas, wind, and battery technologies. Your role will involve collaborating with the Power Development team from concept through to development and construction, ensuring alignment with Alinta’s Project Management Framework (PMF). Additionally, you will assist in change management initiatives to drive continuous improvement and achieve project objectives related to cost, timeliness, quality, and scope. This position offers the opportunity to engage with exciting development initiatives, broader business changes and be part of a supportive team.

What you'll do

  • Support project scheduling, budgeting, and resourcing for various energy projects.
  • Facilitate and coordinate internal committee meetings, including setting up agendas and capturing detailed minutes.
  • Update PMF templates and maintain project documentation on SharePoint, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Track project progress and manage gate milestones, ensuring alignment with governance requirements.
  • Assist in identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies during project execution.

Your experience

  • A tertiary qualification in project management or a relevant discipline.
  • 3+ years of project management experience within construction, energy, mining, or related industries.
  • Proficiency in MS Project for effective schedule management and tracking.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and adaptable to change, with a focus on attention to detail.
