About the role
As a Credit Analyst at Alinta Energy, you will play a crucial role in conducting in-depth analysis and delivering insights to support our Credit and Payments Functional team. Your work will focus on managing Net Bad Debt Expense objectives while enhancing customer experience and cash flow outcomes. You will analyse metrics to assess the impact of various strategies on debt management, contributing to key projects aimed at improving operational performance. This position offers the opportunity to influence strategic initiatives through detailed reporting and analytics, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across credit and revenue management. This is a 12-month max term contract with the possibility for extension or transition to permanent.

What you'll do
- Utilise Databricks, SQL, and Power BI to extract, analyse, and visualise data, producing new reports and datasets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
- Deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports that provide insights into credit performance.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements, leveraging data to drive initiatives.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to key stakeholders and management.
Your experience
- Proven analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools, particularly Power BI.
- At least 3 years of experience in data analysis within a high-volume credit management environment, with a strong understanding of credit risk.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly present complex data insights to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a flat team structure, demonstrating a proactive approach and initiative.
- Comfort in a dynamic environment with opportunities to contribute to various projects and internal advancements.
