About the role

As the Customer Strategy Manager, you’ll drive the development of strategic frameworks and actionable insights that improve how we attract, engage and retain the right customers. Reporting to the Head of Customer & Commercial Strategy, you will lead the development of customer-focused frameworks and strategies that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention of high-value customers. Your work will see Alinta prioritise and deliver initiatives that provide value to the right customers in the right way to ensure Alinta hits its commercial goals for its shareholders and stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and execution of customer strategy across Retail Markets
  • Shape and evolve segmentation, targeting and value proposition frameworks
  • Conduct robust analytics using internal and external data to inform marketing, product and service initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing and Finance, to ensure alignment between customer insights and business objectives.
  • Manage and mentor the Analyst, Customer Strategy to foster a high-performing, insight-driven team that is known for making evidence-based recommendations to the business that drive commercial value
  • Champion a customer-centric culture across Retail Markets, ensuring compliance with company standards and promoting continuous improvement
  • Make the insights you generate widely available to the organisation to ensure they are integrated into decision making and the organisation is steered to maximise commercial value

Your experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as STEM, Commerce, Economics, Psychology or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in customer strategy, insights, or strategic marketing roles, or strategy consulting with relevant project exposure.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, PowerQuery or similar tools for data extraction and manipulation, with a strong ability to validate and sense-check metrics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of distilling complex data into meaningful insights for decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex analyses in a simple, compelling manner to various levels stakeholders and formats
