As an Account Manager in our Commercial & Industrial team, you'll help business customers find the right energy solutions while building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to grow our customer portfolio. You'll work across the sales lifecycle, from customer outreach and relationship management through to contract renewals and supporting new business opportunities.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a customer-facing sales role within a regulated industry such as energy, telecommunications, banking, insurance or financial services. We're looking for someone who enjoys picking up the phone and building relationships, has a strong attention to detail, and brings a positive attitude and willingness to learn. In return, you'll receive comprehensive training, ongoing support and clear career pathways into more senior sales and account management roles.

This is an initial 18-month max term contract, with the potential for extension subject to business requirements.

What you’ll do

  • Engage with existing and prospective business customers over the phone and through email
  • Identify sales opportunities through proactive outreach and lead follow-up
  • Support the preparation of proposals, contracts and customer documentation
  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver a high standard of service
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within CRM systems
  • Work closely with Billing, Credit, Legal and Compliance teams
  • Learn the commercial and regulatory aspects of the energy industry from experienced professionals
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture

Your experience

  • Experience in a sales-based role
  • Experience working within a regulated industry such as energy, telecommunications, banking, insurance or financial services
  • Experience picking up the phone and having conversations with customers or clients
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop a career in sales
  • Tenacity, resilience and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM systems is desirable
