Step into a key role within Alinta Energy’s Group FP&A function, where you’ll help shape group level financial insight and executive decision making. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this role operates at a group wide level, consolidating financial performance, supporting forecasting and budgeting, and producing executive ready reporting. The position is offered as a maximum term contract for 18 months (parental leave cover) and plays an important role in maintaining continuity, accuracy, and confidence in financial reporting within a complex and fast paced environment. This is a highly visible role that combines strong financial governance, analytical depth, and clear financial storytelling.

What you'll do
- Deliver group level performance reporting (month-end, rolling forecast, board/executive packs) with clear variance analysis, risks, opportunities, and strong cash flow insights.
- Support budgeting and forecasting timetables, partnering with finance teams and business partners to build accurate, forward-looking views.
- Enhance financial models and Power BI dashboards, driving automation and consistent reporting in partnership with systems teams.
- Respond to ad hoc analysis and executive queries, including owners and government.
- Identify and lead process improvements across reporting and analytics to reduce manual effort and lift quality and speed.
Your experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Analyst (FP&A/financial analysis) in a large or complex environment, producing executive-level insights.
- Strong accounting foundation with a tertiary finance/accounting degree and CA/CPA (or equivalent).
- Recent hands on with Oracle EPM (FCCS/PBCS), advanced Excel, and Power BI.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to translate complex data into clear narratives for senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, analytical, and resilient, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, influence stakeholders, and meet hard deadlines.
