Join Alinta Energy’s Power Development team as a GIS Analyst, supporting the development of major energy projects across the East Coast. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing and analysing spatial data for projects ranging from wind and battery to hydro and gas, ensuring high-quality geospatial insights drive business decisions. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your technical expertise and proactive approach will help shape the future of energy development. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, act as the custodian of project spatial data, and have the flexibility to support both East and West Coast teams as needed.

What you'll do
- Manage and maintain GIS data and web maps for energy projects
- Deliver spatial analysis to support site selection, approvals, and stakeholder engagement
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, consultants, and community teams
- Integrate GIS data with enterprise tools and improve data management processes
- Support safety and compliance through hazard identification and HSE practices
Your experience
- Degree in GIS, Geography, Science, Engineering, Ecology, or related field
- 4–5 years’ experience in geospatial analysis
- Proficient in QGIS and ESRI GIS Software Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, web and field mapping applications)
- Experience managing spatial data, version control, and integrate multiple data formats.
- Working knowledge of LiDAR data and derived products (point cloud data, DEM, DTM, contours)
- Ability to produce clear maps and insights to support planning, reporting and decision-making
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
