Alinta Energy is one of Australia’s biggest energy retailers, generators and developers with over 1.1 million customers. Australia’s energy system is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history and we’re right there with it. We’re investing in and developing large-scale renewables and storage projects as part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.

You’ll get clear direction, genuine flexibility, and the support you need to grow, all while working on projects that make a lasting difference. We’re big enough to create impact, but small enough that your ideas and effort will always be seen.

There are plenty of other great benefits of working for Alinta Energy, including flexible working, energy discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a paid volunteer day each year, fully stocked kitchens, and lots more.

          What you’ll do

          • Leading the development and delivery of Alinta Energy’s annual Sustainability Report.
          • Managing modern slavery reporting, compliance and Board approvals.
          • Driving ethical sourcing initiatives and chairing the Ethical Sourcing Working Group.
          • Partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver sustainability engagement and training.
          • Advising on ESG matters, tenders and customer sustainability questionnaires.

          Your experience

          • Tertiary qualification in sustainability, science, engineering or a related discipline.
          • 5+ years’ experience in sustainability, ESG or the energy sector.
          • Proven experience delivering complex reports and large cross‑functional projects.
          • Strong stakeholder and project management capability.
          • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.

Desirable: Experience with Modern Slavery reporting, GRI Standards, audit processes or energy utilities.

Please note this role requires full working rights within Australia.

This role is best suited to a proactive, self‑driven sustainability professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys delivering practical, high‑impact outcomes.
