As a Commercial Analyst Graduate, you’ll join our Retail team in a permanent role from day one, gaining hands-on experience supporting commercial decision-making across product strategy and performance, pricing and adjacency strategy.
You’ll work across teams including Retail Markets, Group Finance and Trading, building capability in financial and commercial analysis while developing a strong understanding of energy markets and drivers of business performance. Over two years, you’ll grow a well-rounded skillset through tailored rotations, while remaining embedded in your home team.
Your graduate journey begins with an induction week, bringing your cohort together in Melbourne to meet each other, pull on some hi vis to explore our Melbourne sites, and listen in on real customer calls at our contact centre.

What you’ll learn and do
- Analyse customer, market and financial data and translate it into insights and recommendations
- Support business reporting, forecasting and performance analysis
- Contribute to investment business cases and commercial recommendations
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing and market trends
- Build dashboards and improve reporting tools and processes
- Support strategic initiatives including partnerships and adjacency opportunities

We’re looking for a curious and analytically minded graduate who enjoys solving problems, working with data, keen to understand how businesses make decisions.
You are completing, or have recently completed, a degree in:
- Business, commerce or economics
- Finance, statistics or analytics
- Or a related discipline with a strong quantitative focus

Eligibility criteria
- Available to start full-time in February 2027
- Australian or New Zealand Citizen, or Australian Permanent Resident
- Completed or completing your undergraduate degree in 2025 or 2026
