As a Community Engagement Graduate, you’ll join our Power Development team in a permanent role from day one, gaining hands-on experience supporting stakeholder and community engagement across a national portfolio of projects.
You’ll work across projects at different stages, building capability in engagement strategy, stakeholder management and project delivery. Over two years, you’ll develop a well-rounded skillset with exposure to communications, policy and broader development functions, while remaining embedded in your home team.
Your graduate journey begins with an induction week, bringing your cohort together in Melbourne to meet each other, pull on some hi vis to explore our Melbourne sites, and listen in on real customer calls at our contact centre.

We’re looking for a curious and people-focused graduate who is interested in working with communities, solving problems and understanding how projects impact people.
You are completing, or have recently completed, a degree in:
- Sustainability
- Social science or community development
- Environmental studies
- Or a related discipline
You’ll thrive if you:
- Have strong interpersonal skills and can engage confidently with others
- Show curiosity and a genuine interest in stakeholder engagement
- Can think critically and interpret complex situations
- Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Take initiative and are keen to learn in a fast-paced environment

Eligibility criteria
- Available to start full-time in February 2027
- Australian or New Zealand Citizen, or Australian Permanent Resident
- Completed or completing your undergraduate degree in 2025 or 2026
