Alinta Energy is one of Australia’s biggest energy retailers, generators and developers with over 1.1 million customers. Australia’s energy system is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history and we’re right there with it. We’re investing in and developing large-scale renewables and storage projects as part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.
We understand that flexibility matters when considering your next role. Let us know your requirements, and we’ll carefully consider how we might accommodate them.
Ready to make a real impact?
As a Retail Business Analyst in our Commercial team, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering high-value initiatives across the Commercial Value Stream. This role extends beyond traditional analysis and requires a strong commercial mindset, structured problem-solving, and the ability to drive clarity across complex business and technical environments.
You’ll lead requirements discovery, run workshops, challenge assumptions, and map process and system impacts. Your outputs include clear, decision-ready documents and impact assessments. You’ll ensure accuracy and alignment across teams, helping manage risks and maintain momentum. Day-to-day, you’ll analyse current processes, design future solutions for efficiency and value, and collaborate to assess impacts and risks. You’ll support testing, go-live, and issue escalation to protect customer experience and operational stability.
Why you’ll love working here
At Alinta Energy, we’re taking real action to deliver reliable and sustainable energy for Australia — and that practical approach runs through everything we do. You’ll get clear direction, genuine flexibility, and the support you need to grow, all while working on projects that make a lasting difference. We’re big enough to create impact, but small enough that your ideas and effort will always be seen.
There are plenty of other great benefits of working for Alinta Energy, including flexible working, energy discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a paid volunteer day each year, fully stocked kitchens, and lots more.

- Proven capability to perform effectively in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments
- A strong commercial mindset with pragmatic, value-driven outcomes
Please note this role requires full working rights within Australia.
This role is best suited to a proactive individual with strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen, and stakeholder influence, who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
