About the role

Join Alinta Energy and play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Marri Wind Farm, a landmark renewable energy project located approximately 140km north of Perth. Set to harness the region’s significant renewable energy resources, support energy security, regional economic activity, and Western Australia’s broader decarbonisation objectives, this major development will play an important role in the state's energy transition. As Senior Project Engineer, you'll lead the technical streams of project delivery, providing engineering leadership across design, construction and commissioning activities while ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance and performance are achieved. Leading a team of Project Engineers and managing key technical partners, you'll help shape the successful delivery of a project that will leave a lasting impact on Western Australia's energy future.

What you'll do

• Lead technical streams and engineering governance across delivery of a major renewable energy infrastructure project.
• Manage Project Engineers, consultants and the Owner's Engineer function.
• Oversee design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements, contractual obligations and Australian Standards.
• Drive quality management throughout design and construction, ensuring what is built and commissioned aligns with approved technical requirements.
• Partner with contractors and stakeholders to identify risks, resolve technical challenges and support successful project delivery.

Your experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, ideally Electrical Engineering, although other disciplines will be considered.
• Significant experience delivering large-scale energy, power generation, transmission or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical expertise across design, construction, commissioning or operational phases of complex projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and managing external consultants and contractors.
• An influential communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, sound judgement and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced project environment.
