Alinta Energy is one of Australia’s biggest energy retailers, generators and developers with over 1.1 million customers. Australia’s energy system is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history and we’re right there with it. We’re investing in and developing large-scale renewables and storage projects as part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.
We understand that flexibility matters when considering your next role. Let us know your requirements, and we’ll carefully consider how we might accommodate them.
Ready to make a real impact?
We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Site Administration Assistant to join us at Braemar Power Station.
This is a hands‑on, site‑based role where you’ll play a key part in the day‑to‑day running of the site. You’ll act as the central point of coordination, working closely with site leaders, operators and contractors to ensure everything behind the scenes runs efficiently.
The role combines administration, logistics coordination, procurement support and compliance, giving you exposure across multiple areas of site operations. It’s well suited to someone who enjoys staying organised, works well independently, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
You’ll be supporting a live operational environment, so being reliable, detail‑focused and adaptable will be key to success in this role.
Why you’ll love working here
At Alinta Energy, we take a practical approach to delivering reliable and sustainable energy, and that same approach shapes how we support our people.
At Braemar, you’ll join a small, close‑knit site team where your role is visible and valued. As the sole site administrator, you’ll have real ownership and autonomy, with the backing of experienced leaders and central teams when needed.
You’ll also benefit from genuine flexibility, including adjustable start and finish times and the option to work from home one day per week once established. It’s a rare opportunity to combine site‑based work with long‑term stability and balance, without FIFO or rostered travel.
Alongside this, we offer a range of benefits to support you both in and out of work, including:
- Purchased leave program to extend your annual time off
- Company‑funded salary continuance insurance for peace of mind
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family
- Access to learning and development, including LinkedIn Learning and study support
- Discounts on private health insurance, retail and everyday expenses
- One paid volunteer day each year
What you'll do
- Keeping the site running smoothly by managing office operations, communications, and general admin support
- Coordinating logistics for staff and contractors, including travel, accommodation, uniforms, inductions and training
- Supporting procurement and finance processes, including raising purchase orders, receipting goods, processing invoices and liaising with suppliers
- Assisting with safety, compliance and environmental requirements, including maintaining registers, supporting audits, and keeping documentation current
- Managing site supplies and inventory, monitoring spend against purchase orders and supporting weekly site logistics (including the town run)
Your experience
- Experience in a site‑based or operational administration role, ideally in industries such as energy, construction, mining, utilities or similar
- Strong coordination skills, with exposure to procurement, invoicing, purchase orders and supplier management
- Confidence supporting compliance and safety processes, including inductions, documentation and registers
- A high level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple systems and priorities
- A practical, reliable approach, with the confidence to work independently as the sole site administrator
Please note: Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
