Alinta Energy is one of Australia’s biggest energy retailers, generators and developers with over 1.1 million customers. Australia’s energy system is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history and we’re right there with it. We’re investing in and developing large-scale renewables and storage projects as part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.
We understand that flexibility matters when considering your next role. Let us know your requirements, and we’ll carefully consider how we might accommodate them.
Ready to make a real impact?
The Compliance Manager is a senior operational leadership role within Alinta Energy’s Regulatory Affairs and Compliance function, partnering closely with the Merchant Energy business across power generation and development activities. Based in either Perth or Melbourne, the role is responsible for operationalising and embedding Alinta Energy’s compliance framework into everyday business practices, ensuring regulatory obligations are met in a consistent, risk‑based and commercially informed way while protecting the organisation’s licence to operate.
A key focus of the role is end‑to‑end accountability for the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) governance framework, with a focus on non‑cyber risk domains including personnel, supply chain, physical and natural hazards across relevant operational assets. The role provides assurance to senior leaders and the Board through robust governance, assurance and regulatory oversight. Operating in a complex and evolving regulatory landscape, the role balances structured governance and assurance activities with a significant volume of unplanned and high‑impact compliance issues, requiring strong judgement, adaptability and the ability to influence stakeholders across both operational and corporate environments. This role focuses on regulatory governance, assurance and compliance aspects of SOCI and does not involve hands‑on cyber security or ICT operations although it works closely with relevant specialist teams.

- Oversee regulatory change implementation, compliance monitoring, investigations, remediation and external assurance activities
- Lead and develop compliance capability within the team, building strong stakeholder relationships and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Your experience
